151 Sheen Lane
We provided a Flood Risk Assessment for the conversion and extension of a former office into three homes. The site showed elevated risk of groundwater flooding, and we advised on resilient construction methods including waterproofing and sump pump readiness. The assessment supported a successful planning outcome, with no further comments from the local authority.

We supported the planning application for the extension and conversion of an office property at 151 Sheen Lane into three residential units (2 x 3-bed and 1 x 4-bed), including a roof extension, rear and side additions, and associated garden, bin and cycle access.
Our Flood Risk Assessment identified a high risk of groundwater flooding due to elevated groundwater levels in the London Clay, particularly during sustained wet periods. As part of our assessment, we recommended a robust set of mitigation measures including waterproof concrete foundations, site monitoring during excavation, and the use of sump pumps where needed.
Our report enabled the client to proceed confidently, with no further queries raised by the planning authority on flood risk grounds. The project was successfully approved.
