2 Donne Street

We supported a rear and side extension at 2 Donne Street by preparing a Flood Risk Assessment and SuDS Strategy to discharge pre-commencement conditions.

Our work included analysis of flood risks, surface water runoff calculations with 50% betterment in line with Local Plan Policy CE2(g), and detailed SuDS proposals including planters and permeable paving.

The reports met all council requirements and the conditions were discharged with no further comments.

We supported the proposed single-storey rear and side extension at 2 Donne Street by preparing a comprehensive Flood Risk Assessment and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) Strategy to discharge planning conditions related to flood risk and surface water management.

Scope of Work:

Full analysis of all potential flood risks, including fluvial, surface water, and sewer flooding.

Design recommendations to ensure the proposed development remained protected from flooding, including flood resistance and resilience measures.

Calculation of surface water runoff and attenuation volume demonstrating compliance with Local Plan Policy CE2(g), targeting a 50% betterment on existing runoff rates, with climate change allowance and all relevant flows included.

SuDS proposals including rainwater planters and permeable paving, with details on location, specification, attenuation capacity, structural integrity, operation and maintenance.

Drainage layout and section drawings showing surface water routing to SuDS features, and integration with the wider drainage system.

Outcome:
The Local Planning Authority approved the discharge of conditions with no additional comments. Our reporting fully addressed the requirement to reduce flood risk and contribute to sustainable development, supporting condition discharge ahead of construction.
