3 Donne Street

We supported the successful discharge of a pre-commencement planning condition requiring a detailed Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) Strategy. The strategy included a 50% betterment in surface water run-off rates, SuDS feature specification, drainage layout, and construction and maintenance arrangements. The council approved the submission without further comment, confirming that our strategy met all policy CE2 (g) requirements.

Air & Flood Consultants provided a comprehensive Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) Strategy to discharge a pre-commencement planning condition at 3 Donne Street. The condition required a detailed analysis of surface water run-off and attenuation volume, targeting a 50% reduction in peak discharge rates in line with Local Plan Policy CE2 (g). Our report incorporated climate change allowances, accounted for all inflows (including groundwater), and proposed sustainable SuDS solutions including rainwater planters and permeable surfaces.

We supplied full details on the SuDS types, including location, attenuation capacity, construction approach, operational strategy, access provisions, and long-term maintenance. Drainage plans and SuDS section drawings were also provided.

The Local Planning Authority approved the SuDS Strategy in full, with no additional comments, enabling the client to progress with development. Our involvement ensured policy compliance, technical robustness, and practical integration into the site’s design.
